BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS – KIA ORA PARTY
💰 DEPOSITS
To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of $50 must be paid within 3 days.
KIA ORA PARTY reserves the right to cancel any booking without notice if the deposit is not received within this timeframe.
If the booking is made less than 7 days before the party date, the full amount must be paid by the deadline specified by KIA ORA PARTY.
We do not hold or reserve time slots without payment and confirmation via the booking link provided.

💳 FULL PAYMENT
Full payment is required at least 7 days before the event.
KIA ORA PARTY reserves the right to cancel your booking without notice if payment is not received by this deadline.
ACCEPTANCE
Confirmation of your booking, whether verbal, written, or otherwise, is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
It also confirms that you have checked the event date and time, understand the services requested, and agree to pay for them.

ACCEPTANCE
Confirmation of your booking, whether verbal, written, or otherwise, is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
It also confirms that you have checked the event date and time, understand the services requested, and agree to pay for them.
❌ CANCELLATIONS
Most of our bookings involve entertainers. Once your booking is confirmed, they often turn down other enquiries.
Late cancellations result in lost income for them. All cancellations must be made in writing.
📅 Cancellations more than 14 days prior to the event: deposit is retained.
📆 Cancellations within 14 days of the event: no refund available.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness), KIA ORA PARTY must cancel the event, we will do our best to find a replacement (please note the character may change).
If we cancel the event, a 100% refund, including the deposit, will be issued.
PARTY GUESTS
Each party package includes a limit on the number of children per entertainer.
If more children are attending than stated, an additional entertainer must be booked.
If there are more children than confirmed on the day, you will be billed after the event.
NEW ZEALAND LAW
This agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
These terms do not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
If more children are attending than stated, an additional entertainer must be booked.
If there are more children than confirmed on the day, you will be billed after the event.

Parking must be provided for entertainers. If parking is only available in a paid public area, the cost must be reimbursed by the client.
For face painting, please provide one table and two chairs.
The party area must be large enough for games, dancing, and entertainment.
If there are many parents present in a small space, please ensure they do not crowd the entertainer or children.
If the weather is rainy or too hot, please provide a shaded or sheltered area for the entertainer and kids.
Our balloons are eco-friendly, but can pop more easily on hot days. A shaded area should be provided.
Adults are welcome to join in on face painting and balloons, but only after all children have had their turn.
If other entertainment (e.g. bouncy castles, magicians) is present, please note that it may be challenging for entertainers to keep all children engaged.
